Guyscliffe farm is set up high above Combe Martin over looking the Exmoor hills and Combe Martin bay. GCF is secluded but not remote, a safe environment without the crowds. The house on the hill with extensive land and woodland surrounding the main house with a great Bar-B-Que area log burner with a sea view. The apartment is cosy and convenient with great facilities with modern en-suite shower rooms and its own kitchenette. GCF is quiet, tranquil and restful, plenty of scope to take in the wildlife. The apartment is on the ground floor it offers accommodation for two adults. The bedroom has its own en-suite with either a super king size bed or two singles. The living room has a Reclining leather two seated sofa and table and chairs. GCF provides the perfect location for exploring the delights of North Devon, with its beaches within half hour drive of each direction, Combe Martin Bay 5 minutes drive down the road with its kayaking and coastal walks, also the Wildlife & Dinosaur Park. You can hear the lions, wolves & monkeys when the wind is in the right direction. There are lots to do at Guyscliffe Farm, Ilfracombe has and aquarium in the harbour, Verity Statue is 63 ft high so you can't miss her. Worth a look, not to everyone's taste. Tunnels Beach, Victorian natural bathing pools which top up with water at high tide. Full of marine life & warmer than the sea, golf course and boat trips. Valley of the Rocks:- Large steep natural valley with rock pinnacles carved out during the ice age. Famous for its wild goats. Walks & tearooms. Arlington Court National Trust House with gardens & Stage Coach Museum. Bicycle hire in Braunton & Barnstaple. Watermouth Castle. Cliff Railway:- Victorian Water powered railway which links villages of Lynton & Lynmouth. Lundy Island is a 3 mile long rocky island. A marine reserve for seabirds, seals, porpoises dolphins & sea-life. Boats such as the Oldenburg sail regularly from Ilfracombe.
Guyscliffe farm is a unique property, high above Combe Martin it has stunning views all-around of the sea and Exmoor hills. Based close to Combe Martin and surround local beaches it's an ideal holiday retreat. The owners Caron and Tony are semi-retired and have upgraded the house and grounds, modernising the guest area and the house. Caron is a hair stylist and foster carer, Tony is a retired mental health nurse. Also promoting his children's book 'The Caravan Gang'. Caron and Tony have over 20 years hospitality experience from running a B and B in Bristol. Ready to help with all aspects of your holiday stay making it restful and adventurous. The price reflects renovation being carried out weekdays 8-5 but this is away from the apartment.
